Ooloseos Primary School

Ooloseos is a small Maasai community around 40km south of Nairobi totally off the usual tourist route.  At Tembo Explorer Safaris we have rented a disused farm in Ooloseos to bring employment to this rural community.  We are currently growing all our own vegetables which supply the camp and mobile Safaris they are also made available to the community at knock-down prices.  Everyone working on the farm is employed from this community.

The Primary school has no facilities for any sporting activities, one of our employees has started a football team, open to both boys and girls, training is on a Tuesday and Thursday evening with matches organised with nearby schools at the weekend, we supply one of our vehicles for transportation.  I am pleased to say both the boys and girls teams are doing very well and enjoying the football immensely.  Members of our UK office are currently trying to purchase second-hand football kits, football boots and footballs for the team.
